I help new and expecting parents navigate identity shifts, intimacy issues, mood disorders, trauma, and body changes using approaches like CBT, DBT/mindfulness, and sex therapy, often incorporating somatic techniques to address and improve emotional, physical and sexual well-being during perinatal stages and beyond, supporting holistic healing for all individuals and couples.

I believe you guide our work and I’m here to collaborate with you to shape our therapeutic process to meet our goals. Therapy is challenging and unique to each person, giving me the opportunity to familiarize myself with your needs, your strengths and how we can lean on those strengths to help us meet your therapeutic needs. As an Algerian-American, I understand how complex human identities are, so I approach our work by using a strengths-based systemic lens to identify and deepen my understanding of you and your experiences. My approach is collaborative and gentle yet direct, always honoring your pace. I bring my whole self, lived experience, and humor to the therapeutic journey. I lean on mindfulness, self-compassion, and mind-body connection to guide the healing process.

My passion for perinatal care stems from mental health’s prevalence across the holistic biopsychosocial/spiritual continua of human experience. Although I have leaned into this speciality, I provide care for all. I recognize that health, environment and cognitive factors all influence a person’s perception of themselves and their relationships. I am passionate about being a part of a field that brings about an opportunity to help people find physical and emotional wholeness, stability, and their truest self.

I earned a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Family Institute at Northwestern University, where I received specialized clinical training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and integrative systemic therapy. In addition to my clinical training, I have worked as a sexual assault/intimate partner violence advocate. To further support my clinical work, I have pursued certifications in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) and yoga (YTT 200).
